What to include in your enquiry
Start with the collection postcode and a brief list of the waste. For individual items, include quantities and approximate size. For a mixed pile, describe the materials and the amount of space they occupy. Mention heavy materials such as soil, rubble or concrete separately, because weight can affect the collection even when the pile looks small.
Access information is just as useful. Tell us about stairs, lifts, narrow doorways, parking restrictions, long carrying distances and whether the collection is inside or outside. Let us know if someone else will provide access, or if you are arranging the job on behalf of a landlord, relative or business.
